Halloween ended for me just after christmas with the removal of a sadly rotting exotic squash deflating by the front door. Taking a walk mid january I notice the citizens of Brooklyn are sensibly throwing their trees away... Hmmmm. So as I walk past these post-festive, coniferous orphans I think maybe I can embrace last years holiday and unseasonably deck my apartment until easter with a freebie tree. I selected a small specimen and contrary to the world, dragged it INTO my apartment.
With stores ramping up for Valentines Day I struggled to find xmas decorations. On the plus side, it's still not shed a single needle (what do they DO to these trees??!!) so I felt I had time. Post-It notes came to my rescue. A few scribbles later and voila!
Looking ahead, I'm seeing a St. Patrick's Day celebration is due somewhere around May. Brilliant!

if you think hard enough about this, the logic almost makes sense.
